Chad was born and raised in upstate South Carolina in The Blue Ridge Mountains. Growing up he fished primarily for Largemouth Bass in backwater ponds and Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout in small mountain streams. He left for college at age 17 and has since lived all over the country from New York to California. Fishing for everything from Brown Trout and Smallmouth Bass, to Snook and Leopard Sharks.
Upon moving to Washington State in 2018 Chad worked for The United States Department of Agriculture as a field biologist fishing on the Columbia River, from Priest Rapids Dam upstream to Rocky Reach Dam. They focused on removing predatory species from the river to help Salmon and Steelhead smolt survive. Fishing 5 days a week he gained an intimate knowledge of Washington’s main waterway.
After seeing how happy a career in fishing made him, Chad’s wife pushed him to pursue guiding full time and they haven’t looked back!
